Quick Three - Favourite Ice Cream

Ice cream has never been a favourite dessert of mine. I know, I'm a bit of a freak, but I just never found the plain vanilla ice cream that appealing. I usually hankered for a pudding, chocolate or lollies (though these things were not something we were allowed very often).

As a teenager, when supermarket ice cream flavours became a little more varied, I found a new love for chocolate chip ice cream and could eat this 'til the cows came home.

I loved when Mum would come home from the supermarket with this treat. I'm not sure if my memory serves me correctly, but I think that I was the only one that ate it, so that made it extra special.

So of course, my number 1 favourite ice cream is chocolate chip.

Number 2. Pistachio. This is my flavour of choice if buying an ice cream in a cone.

Number 3. My latest favourite ice cream is this one I love to make - Raspberry and White Chocolate - very easy and very delicious! You can find the recipe here.

Quick three - Children's Books

My three favourite children's books of the moment:

Nightlights - Stories for you to read to your child to encourage calm, confidence and creativity.

Hubby bought this one to read to our daughter and I love him that little bit more because of his thoughtful choice.

It has lovely little stories with related affirmations to use afterwards. It's a great way to end the day on a positive note even if your little one's day has been less than perfect.
The Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson.

Most kids know and love this book.

I love the sing-songy way this story reads, and how both my kids read along with me.

You are special, by Max Lucado, was given to my little lad by my one of my beautiful nieces, Alex (also his godmother). Anything by Max Lucado is wonderful but this one..

..Punchinello laughed.
"Me, special? Why?
I can't walk fast, I can't jump.
My paint is peeling.
Why do I matter to you?
Eli looked at Punchinello

"Because you're mine.
That's why you matter to me."
